Mothers Memorial in Hoosier National Forest
October 1999
This is a very short and easy trail, but the hike is well worth taking. This last bit of Indiana old growth forest is breathtaking! We extended the hike, going off-trail and found some enormous trees, including a giant dead one that looks like a monster. Youd hardly think you were in Indiana. Wed like to say that some of the trees here could rival the Redwoods in California, but we must admit, we have never seen a redwood.
