Trip Report for White River (West Fork)
September 1999

Four of us were a bit short of time and decided to do a trip on the White River downstream to Broad Ripple (in Indianapolis).  We weren't sure what we would find, but we were Very Pleasantly Surprised. The DNR River Trails Guide lists Noblesville and Broad Ripple as the only two access points for this section of the river, but we found a very nice one at the junction of 116th Street and the White River.  The put-in spot was so nice we decided to include a panoramic picture of it.  CLICK HERE FOR THE PANORAMA

We saw several ducks and geese, as well as a few herons.  It was a very pleasant trip. Actually, we are ashamed that we never took this trip before since it is right in our backyard.

Here are some pictures of the trip.  They are thumbnails so click on them to "get the big picture" :)
